Designing a two-sided marketplace required balancing clarity, trust, and efficiency. Clients needed a fast, intuitive path from search to booking, while professionals required a simple setup for managing profiles, services, and payouts. The platform also had to build trust at a glance through clear presentation of reviews, experience, and packages without overwhelming users.
Finally, a unified dashboard was designed to streamline operations, surfacing key events and quick actions to keep both sides aligned and informed.
We began by mapping the end-to-end experience for both user types from client discovery to booking and completion, and from professional onboarding to managing services, calendars, and earnings. To ensure consistency and scalability, we consolidated UI elements into a compact design library of reusable components such as cards, stats, lists, chips, badges, and modals, applied across dashboards, member views, booking flows, and public pages.
The product was delivered in two phases to balance supply and demand. In the first phase, we designed and shipped key operational features: an onboarding walkthrough with profile customization, calendar sync, and payment setup; a clear service and package creation flow; and an operational dashboard with stat tiles, a compact calendar view, and status-based event tracking. We also designed the members list with quick “Message” actions and an integrated chat for smooth coordination.
The second phase focused on public-facing experiences a homepage with AI-powered search and credibility sections, an About page clarifying the value for both audiences, professional profiles showcasing services and reviews, and a streamlined booking flow with date selection, availability, transparent pricing, and a friction-free scheduling experience.
The result was a cohesive two-sided marketplace that delivers clarity, trust, and efficiency across every interaction. Clients can now seamlessly search, compare, and book professionals in just a few steps, while service providers manage their profiles, availability, and earnings from a single, intuitive dashboard.
The unified design system ensured visual and functional consistency across all pages, reducing development time and improving scalability. The new onboarding and booking flows significantly decreased friction, leading to faster profile completion and higher booking conversions. By combining streamlined operations with clear communication and credibility cues, the platform now supports a more balanced, transparent, and reliable ecosystem for both clients and professionals.
