The challenge was to build a brand that’s bold but not shouty, minimalist but not sterile, and versatile enough to work on multiple formats.
How do you capture a feeling - like the noise of a live set, the warmth of grainy photos, or the quiet confidence of a DIY artist - and turn it into a clear visual identity?
At valll we start our work by listening.
Through interviews with the association's founding members, we uncovered what mattered most to them: staying authentic, keeping things local, and creating something that feels like home for artists and audiences alike.
We started from the roots: the studio, the sound, the people. Based on these insights, we crafted their mission and vision, then shaped a brand identity to match.
The logo combines clean geometry with a wave-like line inspired by audio signals. Montserrat Extra Bold gives titles a strong voice, while Roboto Condensed keeps body text grounded and readable.
The color palette is minimal - red, black, and white - letting the visuals breathe while keeping the vibe punchy. A warm gray and muted orange offer support without stealing the spotlight.
We used sound waves as graphic elements, paired with grain textures to echo the analog feel. Photography is candid, textured, and full of energy, just like the community itself.
Clear & confident
The result is a visual identity that feels just right: rooted in music, shaped by people, and easy to use. We translated the association’s vision into a visual identity that speaks with clarity and confidence, while staying true to its alternative spirit. The branding now lives naturally across event posters, social media, merch, and everyday communication, giving the association a clear and confident presence, without losing its DIY roots.
Next projects.
